PaySika is a fintech developing a set of banking solutions for French-speaking African countries starting with Central Africa, where more than 80% of the population has no access to banking services. Thanks to a very friendly and multicultural team, we share the common goal of becoming the first super financial app in Central Africa, allowing users to shop worldwide, track their expenses, easily receive money from abroad, etc. In November 2022, we launched a unique mobile application in Cameroon with a free VISA card, card-to-card transfer, transfer to other mobile money wallets, deposit into the card from the comfort of home.

Responsibilities :

  • Settlement with our various partners (Banks, VISA, etc),
  • Daily reconciliation/clearing of the various accounts with our different partners,
  • Ensuring the daily availability of the electronic money fleet to provide payment cover,
  • Follow up any inconsistencies in the various accounts,
  • Ensure that the accounts are balanced,
  • Ensure payments are made by our various partners,
  • Manage the payment of invoices relating to card transactions,
  • Carry out a daily reconciliation of the EPs reports sent by VISA and compare them with the debits from the transaction accounts,
  • Track the flow of various charges from the card networks and ensure that they are consistent with the debits from our banking partner.
  • Order currency when necessary and keep an up-to-date record of rates,
  • Write requirements for core banking enhancements to facilitate reconciliation at scale to be implemented by the tech team,
  • Ensure the correct application of regulations in PaySika’s operational processes with all stakeholders,
  • Draw up daily reports on the cash position of the various accounts and make adjustments when necessary,
  • Produce KPIs,
  • Write requirements for back-office functionalities to be implemented to facilitate the reconciliation and monitoring of settlements,
  • Update money flow processes within the application in line with developments,
  • Produce P&Ls relating to card activity and ensure that there are no losses.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business management, or similar field,
  • Experience of more than 3 years in banking/monetary operations/cash management teams in local financial services (banks, microfinance, EMEs, etc.);
  • You are familiar with analysing and working with VISA/Mastercard reports,
  • You have a thorough understanding of foreign exchange regulations and COBAC regulatory requirements on the creation of electronic money,
  • When it comes to VOL, PIF, etc, there’s no secret for you,
  • Professional certification in the field is a plus,
  • Excellent attention to detail,
  • Ability to work under high pressure,
  • Results-oriented attitude,
  • Independent and autonomous.
  • Bilingual: French and English.
